baby persian cat so I gotta know. I found out some pretty crazy Persian cat secrets and little
known facts I am sure you did not know either. For example, did you know about the fact that

The white Persian and its blue counterpart are considered by many people as the most beautiful
among cats. The varieties of Persian cats may present different shades of coloring,
but standards require that they have a long coat, with a sort of crest or toupet that
extends between the forelegs. The tail will be short and bushy and the head broad, with small,
hairy ears. Some people even call them Doll Face Cats.

No one can say with certainty where the Persian cats come from. Some scholars refuse to
look for anything other than what seems obvious: Persia! Others, however, claim that the
starting point of the race is in Turkey.

To add to the confusion, 2 naturalist scholars have hypothesized, that the Persian
cat descends from the Asian wildcat.

Be that as it may, its popularity is not the subject of any dispute. The Siamese aside,
the most widely represented “thoroughbred” at feline exhibitions is blue Persian or blue
“angora”. And the white Persians are among the strangest felines. They can be classified
into three large groups according to the color of their eyes: some have blue, others have
minnow eyes and others are orange. It is a deplorable fact that Persians who have blue eyes
are almost always deaf by birth. However, a kitten whose eyes have the smallest dark spot,
will probably have an intact ear.

As for the white Persian with the eyes minnows, it has the strange peculiarity to have
a blue eye and an orange eye. Breeders of blue-eyed Persians are very happy to meet them
because they usually have no hearing impairment. However some people say that sometimes
they are deaf to the blue eye!

The healthiest of the three is certainly the white Persian with copper eyes.
It was obtained by crossing blue-eyed specimens with other angora cats with copper eyes.
He never has a hearing defect.
