Today everyone is very conscious of hand hygiene & sanitizing regularly and this is why  I have asked myself the following important question: “What products are out there that really do help everyone worldwide to solve the problem of hand hygiene at work, in public places, and outdoors?”

I have been researching for the perfect answer and came up with the following brainstorming ideas.

• Build a mobile app or website that provides consumers with the latest info about hygiene
• Create a chatbot and let consumers know it runs on fancy blockchain technology
• Build a wearable smart device that detects bacteria, germs, viruses surrounding the user
• etc.

All these ideas did not really satisfy my curious mind about skin hygiene because all these ideas are really complicated for users to apply plus they are not kid-friendly!

So I had to continue my journey for an easy, quick, and convenient solution that helps with hand hygiene once you and your kids leave the safe home environment.

Even though my initial research started out as a technology-driven solution, I continued looking for more realistic solutions to figure out the easiest and quickest solution possible to this hand hygiene problem.

The Beginning Of My Quest:

I was seriously looking everywhere to find a solution for the problem of portable skin sanitization and I spied everywhere I was going just like during my latest shopping spree at my in my favorite local drugstore. I was curious to see the offers in the hygiene aisle to pick because I was looking to pick up some extra hand sanitizers. I quickly realized that they were completely out-of-stock. I reached for some hand wash solutions. I realized my Apple Watch when I reached above and I got an epiphany.

Why?

The thought that was crossing my mind as a thunderstorm goes like this. I have multiple hand sanitizers at home so why can’t I just fill my Apple watch with the sanitizing gel just like a portable sanitizer dispenser so that I had to squeeze the watch to release some gel into my hands to be able to sanitize no matter where I go and more importantly no matter what I touched. I could sanitize immediately after having touched some filthy objects in the store, buttons, doors, etc.

The Hand Sanitizer Wearable Bracelet Solution:

Being long enough in the space of shopping for gadgets I knew my idea would totally be possible. I drew a few initial designs which were super basic and I had no idea about MVP material yet. I then went ahead and asked a few friends, family members, designers, and manufacturers for their point of view. Here is what I told them:

I came up with an idea for a bracelet that helps people to keep their hands and skin free from germs, bacteria, and viruses. It is a little gadget that uses skin friendly hand sanitizing gel that is save even for kids. This bracelet looks just like a watch, but its sole purpose is to dispense disinfectant gel. Users do not have to look for their pocket-sized sanitizer bottles inside their bags, backpacks, and pockets. This is easier and quicker because users can use it immediately at their convenience right after visiting the public bathroom, after having touched a door, button, etc. This little portable hand hygiene gadget is simply worn on the wrist and it is ready to sanitize the user’s hands and skin. It is a fun gadget because it comes in different colors, and kids will love the coolness factor of it. Users maintain their hand hygiene plus they are fashionable and trendy.

This is how the Hand Sanitizer Wearable Bracelet was born. I did not apply for a patent, but I was involved in the creation phase of the production which is something really exciting.
